Here you'll learn how to start a topic in the team forum, reply to other members and add photos.

What is the forum?

The forum is a place where the team talks about one thing at a time. Someone starts a topic, for example "Who takes the stand by the bog this year?", and the others reply under it.

The chat scrolls past quickly, and only administrators can post on the notice board. In the forum, topics stay put. You can come back to a topic a week later and read everything that was said.

The forum sends no notifications. Look in now and then to see if anything new has arrived.

Read the forum

1. Tap Forum on the home screen
2. Browse the list. Pinned topics are at the top. The rest follow, with the one that got a reply most recently first.
3. Tap a topic to read it and all its replies

A topic with something new you haven't read is shown in bold. The number on the forum tile on the home screen shows how many such topics there are.

Start a topic

1. Open Forum
2. Tap New topic
3. Write a title (up to 120 characters) and your text
4. Tap Add photo if you want to show something. You can add up to 4 photos.
5. Tap Create at the top right

The topic appears straight away for everyone in the team.

Reply to a topic

1. Open the topic
2. Write your reply in the box at the bottom
3. Want to include a photo? Tap the photo button next to the box. You can add up to 4 photos per reply.
4. Tap Send

TIP

Web addresses in a post can be tapped. They open in the web browser.

Edit or delete what you wrote

You can always edit or delete what you wrote yourself. There is no time limit.

• Your topic: open the topic and tap the three dots at the top right. Choose Edit or Delete.
• Your reply: tap the three dots to the right of the reply. Choose Edit or Delete. Keeping your finger on the reply works too.

A post that has been changed shows "edited" next to the time.

Deleting can't be undone

If you delete a topic, all replies in it disappear too, for everyone in the team.

Pin and lock topics

Requires administrator role

Only secretaries, team leads, chairmen and board members can pin and lock topics and delete other people's posts.

Open the topic and tap the three dots at the top right. The choices are:

• Pin: the topic stays at the top of the list until you unpin it. Useful for things everyone should be able to find, such as hunting rules or a packing list.
• Lock topic: nobody can reply any more. What is already there stays and can be read. Unlock the topic in the same place.
• Delete: removes the topic, even if someone else wrote it.

To delete a reply someone else wrote, tap the three dots next to it and choose Delete.

Who can do what?

• Members and read-only members can read, start topics and reply.
• Guest hunters, tracking service providers, landowners, non-hunting guests and farmers don't see the forum at all.

If someone leaves Jaktli

If a member deletes their account, their topics and replies stay so the conversation can still be followed. Instead of the name it says Former member.
