Contacts

Here you'll learn how to find the team's important phone numbers (neighbour, tracking hunter, landowner, etc.) and, if you're an administrator, add new contacts.

What is the contact list?

The contact list is the team's shared address book for people outside the team who matter for the hunt: neighbours, tracking hunters, landowners, dog handlers, and more. Names, phone numbers, emails, locations, and notes all live in one place.

Categories

  • Neighbour
  • Tracking hunter
  • Dog handler
  • Meat processing
  • Taxidermist
  • Neighbouring ground
  • Hunt info recipient
  • Farmer
  • Protection hunter
  • Landowner
  • Other

Find a contact

  1. Tap Contacts on the home screen
  2. Tap the Category dropdown at the top to filter (or pick All to see everyone)
  3. Tap the contact

On the detail page you can:

  • Tap the button with the phone icon to call. The app asks first, so you do not call by mistake.
  • Tap the button with the speech bubble to write a text message
  • Tap the address to open it in your map app
  • Tap Save to phone contacts to add the contact to your phone's own contact list. Your phone shows a filled-in contact card. Check the details and tap Save.

Example

Need a tracker after a deer-vehicle collision? Filter on Tracking hunter, tap the name, and call straight away.

Create a contact

Requires administrator role

Only secretaries and team leads can create, edit, and delete contacts.

  1. Tap Create contact at the top of the page
  2. Enter name and phone number (phone is optional)
  3. Add email, location, and notes if you like
  4. Pick one or more categories
  5. Tap Save

TIP

Next to Create contact there is a smaller button with a person-and-plus icon, Import from phone. Tap it if the person is already in your phone's contacts. The name, phone, and address will fill in automatically.

If the person has more than one phone number or email address saved, the app asks which one you want to use. Tap the right row in the list. If you do not want to bring the number or address across at all, choose No phone number or No email address.

Edit and delete

Administrators can edit and delete contacts from the contact's detail screen.
